so, we have photoshop on one of the family laptops.. is there anyway that i can get it onto my own laptop as well? i dont have the disc for the program because we got program already loaded on the laptop from a family friend.

I'll just say this. If you don't have the disc that initially installs photoshop onto a computer, then you deffinitely can't. And also, you probably would need a security code from the box you bought it from. So it's a slim to none chance. If you had the disc then maybe.

Oh, and replying to the person above me. That's not completely true. On some programs the serial number can be used more than once on a different computer. I've done it plenty of times.

Even if you had the CD that it was installed from, you only have 1 serial number and can therefore only install it on one computer.

You need to buy a second copy of your laptop.

You should also consider whether the copy on your family's laptop is legal or not.
Not if you don't have the CD, if you had the CD you could, because its not like you need a multi licence where different people are using different computers. Its still single user.
You can put it on as many computers as you want - as long as you have the licenses for it.
