Photoshop is image editing software. It's definitely not free, but there are free programs out there that work similar, such as GIMP. I guess the overall difference is that GIMP is a little more tricky to use, but it should get the job done.

well, aside from theee standard image editing program, millions of people would be MUCH happier (myself included) if it really was for free!! Are you a student? you could perhaps get it much cheaper than the rest of us, by purchasing an ''educational'' version. Same thing, but cheaper.

Photoshop is a powerful program to ''edit'' images (pics, scans, etc.)

Photoshop is the no. 1 image editing software available. There are some pretty good photoshop clones out there for cheap or even free.
photoshop is great photo editing software, you could prob find it for free but thats stealing.
